🏯 The Palace MuseumThe Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City, used to be the imperial palace for Ming and Qing dynasties. It owns massive wooden ancient building complexes with countless precious cultural relic collections. The whole scenic area divides into outer court for royal political activities and inner court for imperial family daily living. All visitors must book tickets in advance online.🛍️ Wangfujing Street Wangfujing Street is Beijing’s well‑known commercial pedestrian street. It blends traditional old‑Beijing commerce and modern shopping business. Along the street lie large shopping malls, time‑honored local stores, specialty snack counters and souvenir shops. Tourists can go shopping and try classic Beijing‑style food here.⛰️ Mutianyu Great Wall Mutianyu Great Wall is a well‑preserved section of the Great Wall, located in Beijing’s Huairou District. It features rolling mountain views, well‑kept watchtowers. Tourists can choose cable car or chairlift to get up the mountain, hike along the wall, or take the slide car downhill. It is less crowded compared with Badaling Great Wall.🏟️ National Stadium & National Aquatics Center (Bird’s Nest & Water Cube) Bird’s Nest and Water Cube stand at Beijing Olympic Park. The Bird’s Nest is the National Stadium with unique woven‑shape steel structure. The Water Cube, official name National Aquatics Center, features blue bubble‑pattern outer membrane. These two are classic modern architectures built for Olympic Games. Visitors can take photos outside or buy tickets for inside visiting.🌿 Summer PalaceThe Summer Palace is the largest and best‑preserved royal garden in China. Constructed for imperial leisure and retreat, it combines lake water, hills, long painted corridors, ancient pavilions and palaces. Kunming Lake occupies most of the scenic zone. Tourists can walk along corridors or take boat trips on the lake.🏚️ Old Summer Palace(Yuanmingyuan)Yuanmingyuan, also called Old Summer Palace, was once a magnificent royal garden complex combining Chinese and western architectural styles. Destroyed in history, lots of stone relic ruins remain till today. The scenic spot includes lake areas, woodland and famous European‑style stone ruin sites. It carries important historical educational value.🛶 Shichahai Scenic AreaShichahai Scenic Area covers several connected lakes and original Beijing hutong blocks. It mixes water view, old courtyard residences, bars, teahouses and local folk life. Tourists can rent boats on the lake, wander hutong lanes, or sit by lakeside for rest. Many traditional Beijing courtyard houses are distributed inside this zone.
